Terms and Conditions

General
These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online, by e-mail, telephone or by post with The Bassment. Please read carefully before placing any order. All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of New Zealand. Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights.

All references to the "company", "office" or "we" will refer to The Bassment. All references to the customer shall mean the person or persons purchasing or agreeing to purchase goods from the company.

Prices
All prices are shown in NZ Dollars and are inclusive of GST at the current rate unless clearly stated otherwise.

Orders
We are pleased to accept orders by the following methods. Online transaction (secure server), telephone, post, fax or in person through our store.

Credit / debit card transactions
All credit/debit card transactions are subject to validation checks and are authorised by the card issuer. We accept Eftpos only. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay and / or non-delivery of your order. No orders for immediate despatch will be accepted or processed without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder.

Delivery
We will send you an email to confirm your order has been received and whether or not it has been accepted.  At any time, you can obtain the status of your order by emailing sales@thebassment.co.nz with a request. Be sure to include your order reference number, if you have it.
 
Items ordered will be delivered as soon as possible, despatch targeted within one week of order being placed. Every effort is made to ensure that delivery is made within the estimated time scales and a maximum of twenty-eight days. All goods are subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply your goods within twenty-eight days, we will inform you immediately and advise you of the expected delivery date.
In the event of any goods delivered by us being damaged in transit, deficient of items shown on the delivery note or failing to match the items ordered by you, then such details must be notified by you to us within three working days of the receipt. If no such notification the customer will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory. We cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss caused by late delivery or failure to deliver by the company appointed carrier. Liability in such cases is limited to the value of those items, which are shown to have not been received by the customer.

Returns and Exchanges
We want you to be entirely satisfied with every purchase made from The Bassment and strive to offer you excellent quality, value and service at all times. If you wish to return any item due to it being faulty, please state details on the reverse side of your delivery note giving details of the fault and send it back to us together with the item in its original packaging where possible, within 28 days. We will exchange the item or refund the full cost including any delivery charges incurred where appropriate. If you are in any doubt please contact us sales@thebassment.co.nz . We are here to help you.
We recommend that all items returned to us be sent recorded delivery with insurance paid as a minimum. Your local Post Office will be able to advise you.

Cancelling an item
You have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within seven working days of delivery. This applies to all our printed products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of video, DVD, audio, and software products where the item has been unsealed.
 
To cancel this contract, please fill out the back of the The Bassment invoice that accompanies your items, giving the reason for the return as "Contract Cancellation" and send it to us within 7 working days of delivery. Please send the item back to us in its original packaging

Products
Products are sold singly unless otherwise stated. Every effort is made to ensure the colours depicted on the site match as closely as possible those of the actual product. Due to technical limitations, some colours may vary.
 
Product Availibility
The Bassment makes every effort to ensure all products are in stock and and availible but due to circumstances out of our control, sometimes our supplier may be out of stock. should this be the case, we have a backorder service availible, we can look to supply a similar product at our best price, or a refund to the customer if payment has been completed.

Guarantee
All products offered are guaranteed for a period of twelve months unless otherwise stated from the date of the original invoice.  The guarantee excludes faults caused by accidents, neglect or misuse. In the event of a warranty claim, please return the item with a copy of the original receipt to:

Please identify clearly the area or part that has failed. All items must be returned in their original condition as sent.


Pricing and Print Errors
Prices and specifications are checked to the best of our ability, and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions. We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.


Ownership of Goods
All Items supplied to the customer remain the property of The Bassment until final payment of all sums owing in respect of those goods has been received in full by us.

Complaints
Any complaint can be sent to the address below. We will endeavour to deal with your complaint as soon as is possible. In the event where we cannot resolve your complaint immediately, we will advise a likely timescale to you and keep you informed of any investigation.
